as＋原級＋asを使った英文

こんにちは。原級を使った文のパターンを書いておきます。

原級とは

形容詞，副詞には3つの段階があります。以下の表をご覧ください。

このうち，変化させていない元の形（good, tall, fast など）を使う段階を「原級」と呼びます。

as 原級 as

形容詞の原級

• She is as tall as her brother.
  彼女は弟と同じくらい背が高い。
• This book is as interesting as that one.
  この本はあの本と同じくらいおもしろい。
• Mike is as old as Jack.
  マイクはジャックと同い年だ。

副詞の原級

• He runs as fast as a cheetah.
  彼はチーターと同じくらい速く走る。
• I can speak English as well as Japanese.
  私は日本語と同じくらい英語も話せる。
• She sings as beautifully as her mother.
  彼女はお母さんと同じくらいきれいに歌う。

基数＋times as 原級 as A

基数＋times as 原級 as A
Aの(基数)倍～だ

• This room is three times as large as that one.
  この部屋はあの部屋の３倍の広さだ。
• He is three times as old as his son.
  彼は息子の３倍の年齢だ。
• This computer is twice as fast as my old one.
  このコンピュータは前のものの２倍速い。

three timesの代わりに，よく
twice（２倍）
four times（４倍）
などが入ります。

Please come as soon as possible.＝Please come as soon as you can.
できるだけ早く来てください。

I want to read as many books as possible.＝I want to read as many books as I can.
できるだけたくさん本を読みたい。

Tom ran as fast as possible.＝Tom ran as fast as he could.
トムはできるだけ早く走りました。
