英語で比較級・最上級の文のつくり方

こんにちは。比較の文のつくり方の紹介。

同じくらい

「AはBと同じくらい〜」というときの形です。

A is as 形容詞 as B.
A does as 副詞 as B.

例
He is as tall as his brother.
彼は弟と同じくらい背が高い。
She runs as fast as Ken.
彼女はケンと同じくらい速く走る。

「〜ほど…でない」は
A is not as 形容詞 as B.
例: He is not as tall as his brother.
彼は弟(兄)ほど背が高くない。

比較級のつくり方

AはBより・・・だ
A is 形容詞＋er than B.
A does 副詞＋er than B.

例
He is taller than his brother.
彼は弟より背が高い。

She runs faster than Ken.
彼女はケンより速く走る。

長い形容詞，副詞の場合
A is more 形容詞 than B.
A does more 副詞 than B.

例
This movie is more interesting than that one.
この映画はあの映画よりおもしろい。

He walks more slowly than his father.
彼はお父さんよりゆっくり歩きます。

最上級のつくり方

Aはいちばん・・・だ。
A is the 形容詞＋est in（場所・グループ）.
A does the 副詞＋est in（場所・グループ）.
例
He is the tallest in the class.
彼はクラスで一番背が高い。

She runs the fastest in the team.
彼女はチームでいちばん速く走る。

長い形容詞，副詞の場合
A is the most 形容詞 in（場所・グループ）.
A is the most 副詞 in（場所・グループ）.
例
This is the most difficult problem in them.
これはそれらの中でいちばん難しい問題だ。

She dances the most beautifully in the group.
彼女はグループの中でいちばん美しく踊ります。

※ 副詞も同じで，early → earlier → earliest，fast → faster → fastest などの形になります。
